About

I and Books: How I have enriched through reading

I have been thinking about writing a blog for quite some time and I did experiments with some writing one year ago but I could not be regular. Then I realized that I was not blogging about an activity that I do regularly so automatically I am not regular on blog as well. This is when I decided on a blog about books that I read. A habit that I have for past 25 years and hardly a day goes when I go to sleep without reading. I have learnt so much in life through books and now want to share it with you through this blog.

Please do leave your feedback if you want to say anything whether good or bad about what I am writing here.

  2. Hi Pawan,
If you enjoyed “Paths of Glory” by Jeffrey Archer or stories set during the Great Game in India and Tibet like “Kim”, I would like to offer you an Advanced Reader Copy of a soon-to-be-released historical thriller for review called “Race to Tibet” about the Victorian world’s obsession with exploring Tibet. Can you recommend a book to me? Any book is fine.

I am really not sure how to recommend a book without knowing anything about you or your taste in books. You can start with harry potter books. If you want to read short stories then you can read Jeffrey archer. If you want to read thriller stories, you can read “The Da-vinci code”.

  5. Pawan,
Nice blog. But you should give spoiler alerts in your reviews on fictions. It spoiled a title or two for me, by spilling the milk 😦

There is no fun in giving spoiler alert. I have also found that it is more interesting to read books when you know the end. You enjoy the writing more than anticipation of the climax.

It is very heart touching story. Why did you ended gopal’s life with a question mark? It is very pain full to read. Why did he lost aarti?! Is that a correct thing? If he got aarti then it would be a wondeful book. Eventhough now also its an amaizing story.

I believe your comment is about Revolution 2020 by Chetan Bhagat. I guess it is his prerogative to end the story in he wanted. Even though I also would have wanted Gopal to get Aarti.

  9. I’ m writing to you because I think this new title by Glenn Meade will be right up your alley. Meade ponders the question, “What if Jesus was a victim of identity theft?” incorporating the discovery of an ancient scroll with a controversial message and a battle between entities all jockeying for control of the parchment, wrapping historical fact with superb storytelling for an exciting and enjoyable read.

Let me know if you’d like to receive an electronic or hard copy of the Advance Reader’s Copy of The Second Messiah. Please consider a review of this title. Giveaway copies are available if you’d like to make them available for your readers.

Please contact me for additional information.
